Throughout the years, I’ve gained experience working on many different types of projects. Each one is unique on it’s own from concept to production, which is one of many reasons I am passionate about Graphic Design – no project is alike. I love that design is something that can’t be defined as right or wrong because the way a concept is developed is never the same, but also the more creative the process, the more interesting results arise in production.
Please feel free to explore the categories below – each one features different projects I’ve developed, some are things I’ve done while working in the field and others are conceptual designs created during my bachelor’s or graduate level studies.
Conceptual ideas for a variety of outdoor and print media advertising campaigns that I developed during the course of the Bachelor’s and Graduate level studies.
I’ve done several logo designs for different projects, both conceptual and actual clients. Logo design is always fun, I like to speak with people about their business and overall ideas. As the conversation flows, I like to take notes of keywords or things that trigger an enthusiastic reaction because that serves as insight for me when it comes to developing a design. I also do a lot of research and like to play with fonts or typography, if needed.
During my time working as a Graphic Designer for a medical supply company, I had the opportunity to create packaging designs. These designs have been featured in various medical conventions the company participated in as sponsors. I enjoy package designing and look forward to adding more projects to my portfolio in a near future.
After my experience working at the medical supply company, I was fortunate to explore opportunities of working in advertising agencies as a designer. This is where I gained experience as a Social Media Coordinator to design ads for posting on different platforms. I also acquired copywriting and analytics skills as I shared administrator capabilities for managing several Facebook pages of some clients.
As part of my experience working as a designer for the medical supply company, I was responsible for developing designs for full-scale trade show booths. This was one of my favorite projects to work with because it always felt so wonderful to oversee a project from thumbnail concept to full production. I had total freedom to develop the artwork and worked together with the booth production company for the printing and structural booth construction. The booths were featured in several medical conventions held in Puerto Rico in 2014.
Designing for the web was something I discovered a passion for during my high school years, Thanks to social media platforms like MySpace, I started digging into coding to personalize my profile and soon found myself being engrossed by the marvels of seeing the page transform to my desires. During my bachelor’s studies, I took several course to further my understanding of coding and even used online courses like Codecademy to practice.
My work experience with the medical supply company enabled me to manage the re-design project of the company’s website. In addition, I was responsible for the content management and site maintenance. I also had the opportunity to explore the aspect of administering e-commerce websites.
